Kim Kimerling Print Posted September 19, 2014 by Friends of the Joshua Tree Forest

The Friends have been gifted a beautiful framed print of Mr. Kimerling’s painting of “Reading the Shards”. This generous gift was donated by Char and Vern Farris to generate funding by organizing a raffle sometime in the near future.

Kimerling’s life and art work were shaped early in his life by his mother and maternal grandmother. He credits his maternal grandmother for encouraging him in the field of art. Kimerling’s desire to leave the farm that he was raised on  launched him on his path to being known as a multicultural symbologist.

Kim has attempted to capture changing moments of his life to preserve them as he adds symbol upon symbol; composing a brief moment of various cultures of our planet. From this thought has come the name multicultural symbologist.

Kim’s work has been exhibited in over 100 one person shows throughout the United States, Canada, Nigeria, Mexico and Belize. He is an award winner in all media that he works in.
