Friends Service Project Posted March 14, 2017 by Friends of the Joshua Tree Forest

On February 24,25,26 the Friends of AZ Joshua Tree Forest began a service project in the forest along the utility easement that had be recently used by the utility company to install upgrades. With the help of special guests from the Grand Canyon Chapter of the Sierra club and the Great old Broads for Wilderness we reclaimed the area by raking out tire tracks and replanting some cactus plants. Our guests endured the night time temp of around 29-30 degrees for a couple of nights as did the beautiful Joshua blooms. We are very grateful for the assistance and the knowledge shared during this time.
