Members of the Gateway Community Partnership that was established in the spring of 2017 organized a one day Joshua Tree Festival that was held at the Meadview Community Center located at 247 E. Meadview Boulevard, Meadview, Arizona on March 17, 2018.
The day will began at 8:00 am with a complimentary continental breakfast at the community center listed above. There was a bird watching hike as well as a photo shoot hike in the Joshua tree forest. A “make and take” Joshua Tree card making class, a jewelry making demonstration, raffles, and information tables from local businesses and organizations. Also a 10 minute documentary video of the magnificent Joshua Tree Forest. Local businesses and supporters offered discounts for food and lodging for the weekend.
The Friends Board of Directors would like to thank our community partners for all of there support and positive reinforcement before, during and after the Festival.
We would like to give a special thank you to the volunteers that helped serve breakfast, tend the information table and assist with both hikes in the forest.
After some time to rest, we will be thinking about ways to make next years festival better.
